The trail to Paget Lookout is a moderate hike that takes you through lush forests and into the subalpine. The lookout itself is a historic fire tower that offers panoramic views of the Bow, Cataract Brook, and Kicking Horse Valleys. We will have a break then return to the Sherbrooke Lake trail where we will have lunch before returning to the trailhead.

It is a requirement to read the following trip posting very carefully and to make the proper and responsible preparations for it. Failure to do so, will result in participant not bring allowed on this trip or removal from trip at the organizers discretion. You must answer all questions. You must meet all the pre-requisites to be eligible to attend this trip. If the organizer deems it necessary to obtain additional information from you, please provide it, via text or email. As a potential participant, you must check this trip posting for additional directions from the organizer, including up to trip cancellation.

This trip will be weather dependent. Please check the website the morning of the trip to make sure it has not been cancelled.

RSVP RULES: Late cancellations without a valid reason, will result in a "no show" at the organizer's discretion. Please note that 'no shows' can hinder your attendance on hikes with other organizers.

EVENT PACE: The pace for this hike will be at a reasonable and steady pace. We will do our best to hike together as a group (or be in view), taking short breaks as required to delayer, take photos, and catch our breath.

TRAIL DESCRIPTION:
Distance: 10.1 km
Elevation Gain: 577 m
Time (Only an Est.): 5 Hrs on trail + approx. 1:45 hrs driving each way

TRAILHEAD:
From Banff, go west on the Trans Canada Hwy. 8.9mi past the Lake Louise overpass is Wapta Lake. Park at the turnoff just after the Great Divide Lodge. The trailhead is at the back of the parking area.

CARPOOLING: We will meet at Shouldice Park and Ride at 7:00 a.m. to arrange carpooling. Please be considerate of your driver’s vehicle by bringing a change of shoes and plastic bag for dirty footwear. Suggested gas fee contribution is $25.00 (Gas Fees by Area and Price).
