Powderface East Ridge Trail, Alberta, Canada - 761 Reviews, Map | AllTrails
This less traveled route to the top of Powderface Ridge is less busy, but is much steeper than the main trail. It starts off in a large meadow following an old logging road for about a kilometre, after which it becomes a narrow trail through the forest. It gets progressively steeper as you gain elevation, with bare rocks and roots. There are great views from the top, where you can continue north, south, or west along the ridge. Parking can be found at the pullout at the side of the road. Head into the field behind the informative sign. You will see what looks like an old jeep trail blocked off by multiple stumps of wood. That is the start of the trail, and rest of the trail is fairly well marked with flags throughout.
