Wind Ridge
Details
Wind Ridge generally lives up to its name, definitely one of Alberta's windiest hikes. Hikers are advised to come prepared with more clothing than usual, for these elevations. The trail from the parking area is wooded with a gradual incline. About five k the incline becomes steep, to the ridgeline. I expect the usual fierce headwinds once we come out of the trees. The ridge walk is more gradual with views of Mount Lougheed, Rimwall, The Sisters, Windtower and Pigeon.
This trip is weather dependent. Check the website the morning of the trip to make sure it has not been cancelled.
