New Years Eve Beginner Night Hike - T2 Fullerton Loop - UPDATE FUN
Details
PLEASE READ ALL DESCRIPTION BEFORE SIGNING UP!!!
Post hike firepit and weenie roast at Allen Bill across the road. I have the weiners, firewood and basic condiments. Cinnamon tortilla crisps and Hot chocolate will be made as well! I need buns!
I will take 15 hikers max. Preference to ones from the cancelled hike. Everyone will be waitlisted. If you haven’t hiked with me previously or attended an urban walk you will not be added to the hike.
We will meet at the Elbow Valley info centre at 7 pm. I will check gear and then we will drive out to the trailhead.
We will hike approx 6.7 km total and up to 225 m cumulative Elevation gain.
We will have a gentle start up through the woods and eventually reach the bench with the views of the night sky. We will then follow the slight ridge back down into the woods and back to the trailhead.
There will be NO hiking ahead and speed demons are not welcome. The enjoyment of hiking is enjoying being in the moment. Kodak moments are encouraged. The leader does reserve the right to change the hike for weather or safety reasons as needed.
Please be on time. Do NOT Meetup Message me (Tracy) the day of the hike. Please text me at 780-237-5933 at any time or if you have any concerns about location. Please identify yourself in the text. :) I do not guarantee what time we return to the trailhead so block off your day. It is likely we will end well before 11pm.
Car-pooling is at your own discretion. Gas share recommendation from calgary of $10 is reasonable and should be offered to your driver. I do not arrange car-pools. Please bring a bag for your dirty boots and clean shoes for the ride home.
