Sparrowhawk Tarns - Snowshoe Pace
Remember - this trip is dependent upon weather and limited by number of drivers. Preference given to drivers with K Country pass.
Distance: ~12 km return, Elevation Gain: <800 m. Note that both depend on how much exploration and off trail travel/photography we do in the cirque/tarn area

Trip Rating: Moderate-for experienced snowshoers, winter ridge hikers
Pace - Trail and/or snow conditions will dictate the pace. We will travel as a group, so as to keep within sight of each other.
Duration: 5-7 hours on trail (driving time is extra). We are out for a day. If you have evening plans, please do not sign up for this hike, as we cannot guarantee return times.
Attendees: Target is 10 avid hikers. No dogs, no children, no guests.
Required: Snow shoes are recommended, personal first aid kit. toiletry kit, hydration/hot drink, lunch, hiking boots, icers, technical winter clothing (so no cotton); sense of humour & good attitude (Stoical helps)
Optional Gear: hiking poles, gaiters, sunglasses, sunscreen, camera
Carpooling: Organize on your own.
Gas Fee: $20.00 per person if carpooling.

WAIVER: You must sign our club waiver before you are allowed to go on this trip and you shall arrive prepared with an emergency name and phone number to be recorded on the waiver. Organizer will have a group waiver for you to sign at the trailhead.
