South Lawson Peak Route - advanced pace

Description:
Sign-up opens Tuesday @ 7pm.
This trial starts off along an old logging road for about 1.5km. Then turns into the forest for a steep ascent to the ridge. The ridge may have deep sections of snow. Snowshoes optional. Spikes highly recommended for icy steep section. Awesome views at the ridge including Kananaskis Lakes and surrounding peaks and ridges.

• Advanced pace - not suitable for beginners

If you sign up, but cannot attend, please remove your name from the list by 10am Friday. If you cancel anytime after 10:00am Friday or don’t show up (without contacting me) you will be marked as a “no show”. This is visible to other organizers and may affect your chances of attending other hikes.

Meet up time and location:
8:00 am @ Valley Meadow Playground (park along the side of road)
We will carpool from here. Drivers: a Kananaskis Pass is required
Trailhead: follow AllTrails directions. Small parking area on side of road.

Please check Meetup on morning of hike for additional instructions and/or possible cancellation due to weather.
