Bike Ride : Mahogany to Chestermere
Details
🌲We have an exciting new trip layout, thanks to a fantastic route recommendation from one of our long-time members!
Last year, Chris Sklar moved from the NW to the SW, and as an avid cyclist, she has been actively exploring her new surroundings.
Chris recently discovered a wonderful cycling route connecting Mahogany to Chestermere.
Based on her scouting ride, the route starts in Mahogany and heads north along the pathway just west of Stoney Trail. She was pleasantly surprised to find that the wetlands and boardwalk pathways connect seamlessly all the way to the Calgary Canal Pathway. The ride offers a fantastic mix of urban pathways, natural wetlands, and peaceful stretches of trail. It's perfect for cyclists looking to explore new routes and expand their riding horizons.
Chris and I rode the route as far as the turnoff to Chestermere, and it was excellent. It was fascinating to see how much the south side of the city has changed and developed, while still offering so many beautiful green spaces and scenic pathways.
Thank you so much, Chris, for sharing this route and leading the way for us. I'm already incredibly excited for this ride!
