Taylor & O’Brien Lakes - (T3)-LONG DAY!!

Taylor Lake is a beautiful hike! I have done it in both winter and fall, but never in the summertime. So let’s go and explore Taylor Lake, the meadow, which is known for its vivid wildflowers, and O’Brien. At Taylor Lake, we will have views of Mount Bell from its south shore, and at the west end of the lake there is a waterfall cascading down a 50m cliff face. If the trail is in good condition, we will visit the meadows, which is approximately two meters from the lake.
It is a requirement to read the following trip posting very carefully and to make the proper and responsible preparations for it. TRAIL DESCRIPTION:
Distance: 15 kms
Elevation Gain: 750 m
Difficulty - Relaxed
Event Duration: 6 hrs plus 4 driving

Trailhead:
Stay on Highway 1 for 8 km past the Highway 93 south/Castle Mountain Junction - the parking lot is on the left hand (south) side of the road when heading west (17 km east of Lake Louise)
There is a turnoff lane to get across the highway
RESTRICTIONS:
No dogs, no children, no guests.

CARPOOLING: We will meet at Shouldice Park and Ride at 6:15 a.m. to arrange carpooling. Please be considerate of your driver’s vehicle and bring a change of shoes and bag for dirty footwear. Suggested gas fee contribution is $30. Carpool Etiquette
