Ruby Lake. Random camping. No facilities. Best suited if you have random camped in the alpine rockies before. Been wanting to check this place out for a while. There will be a number of wet feet creek crossings including one river, should be lower then. You'll need a Ursack or do a hang. Bring a backpacking saw.
Sign up only if you are firm. Limited spots.
Not for slowpokes. Event is being done through hike style. I'm known not to stop much. I have a uber light pack. Be prepared to snack/drink on the move. There will be about 10km of gravel road driving to the TH.

Distance: Approx 13 Km one way.
Elevation Gain: 700 meters approx one way.
Event Pace: 4-5 hr about hike in

Your backpack should not weigh more than 25 lbs/11.5kg all in, including food and water. The lighter the better. We'll be de-camping just after a light breakfast on day 2 and heading to to a nearby town for lunch after. If you can't do all activities please don't sign up. No cell reception where we are going.

Expect any kind of weather conditions including cold conditions and possible snow on the ground. There will be no shared equipment. You're expected to be self sufficient.

Meal planning for camp: 1 dinner and 1 breakfast. We'll be stopping over at a nearby town on the way back for lunch.

Note withdrawal cut off time. Will need a minimum of three persons for this to be a go else I might as well solo it. RSVP only if you are firm.

The event host reserves the right to not allow participants on the event if they are not fit enough or are not a fit for the group.

Any questions let me know.

- A lightweight backpack and gear. Less is more.
- Usual Backpacking Equipment Not going to need everything on this list but its a good place to start. The lighter the better. With my ultralight pack setup, I'll be having a day hike compared to traditional backpack setups.
