Arnica and Upper Twin Lake

The trail starts with a moderate downhill to Vista Lake, feels alot steeper at the end of the hike. After the lake, the trail climbs steadily thru the forest to Arnica Lake. We make our way along the lake and continue up the knoll to the lookout. We then drop down to the Upper Twin Lake and stop for lunch. We return as this is an in and out hike. This is one of the most spectacular larch hikes. Note: the parking lot is very small so car pooling is advised

Distance: 17 k
Elevation gain : 1000 m.

Directions: take the Trans Canada and turn left toward Radium. At about 27k you will find Vista Lake parking lot (trailhead).
Meeting point: the trailhead

Event Pace: steady though we stop for photos.
