What we’re about

Welcome to a social club for slow runners/ slow joggers/walkers who run for 2-3 miles at an easy pace and then relax over afternoon beers and drinks at a local bar.

The goal is eventually to have a standing run every Saturday at 12 (near Dublin CA) where anyone can just show up when free to get in some light exercise, grab some beers with other laidback local residents.

Dublin CA and the East Bay has grown quite a bit in the last few years, with a lot of new residents that are also looking to build more of a local community. I moved from San Francisco to Dublin CA in the East Bay 7 years ago and I find that I have to plan get togethers far in advance and everything requires driving. Although there are a lot of benefits to living here, I do miss the level of energy and sense of community that I felt in San Francisco. There was always something to do, lots of people everywhere and it was very easy to be social without having to plan everything far in advance. I especially miss the daytime activities, that mixed some physical activity (that weren't overly active) with socializing and light day drinking. Having just come back from a vacation in Europe, I see how much I miss the effortless, unplanned socializing that's also a core part of their lifestyle.

Anyone of any age and fitness level is welcome as long as they can jog/run/walk 2.5 miles and enjoy some light drinking at the end.
