This session is a space to slow down and explore what actually helps when anxiety spikes in real life.
Not productivity hacks. Not “optimize your morning routine.” Not pretending everything is fine. But small, human ways to feel a little more grounded, a little more supported, and a little less alone.
Together, we’ll talk honestly about what anxiety feels like in our bodies and daily lives and share the coping strategies we’ve tried, abandoned, returned to, or are still figuring out.
We’ll reflect on the difference between coping and fixing, soothing and suppressing, and how to build a personal “toolkit” that feels realistic instead of overwhelming.
Through conversation and storytelling, we’ll explore questions like:
- What does anxiety actually feel like for me in my body?
- What helps even 5% when I’m overwhelmed?
- Which coping strategies feel supportive and which feel like pressure?
- How do I know when I need distraction, comfort, movement, or connection?
You’ll leave with ideas, language, and practices you can try, but more importantly, with the reminder that you’re not failing at anxiety. You’re navigating something hard, like the rest of us.
This isn’t about becoming perfectly calm. It’s about learning how to sit beside yourself when you’re not.
This space is for you if:
- You feel overwhelmed by anxiety and want gentler ways to cope
- You’ve tried “self-help” advice that didn’t really stick
- You want practical tools without shame or pressure
- You’re looking for community, not fixing
No experience with meditation or coping skills needed. No need to have it together. Come exactly as you are. All of it is welcome here.
Who Am I?
Hi, I’m Jesse, a communications and advocacy professional passionate about building a safer, more just world. Originally from Austin and now living in Italy, I believe life is measured by the quality of our connections, and I’m excited to use this space to help people build community through openness and shared stories.
How Does it Work?
This is an open, guided discussion led by your Keeper, Jesse. Each participant will have the opportunity to listen to and share experiences on anxiety, well-being, emotions, and whatever else comes up during the session.
When and How Do We Meet?
We meet digitally every couple of weeks to make participation easy for those with demanding schedules. Cameras are optional, and you’re welcome to join from wherever you are, even between shifts. We only ask that you find a private place to join or use headphones to help maintain the security of everyone present.
