A session for the grief, guilt, and powerlessness that can come with caring about the planet.
For many of us, climate anxiety isn’t just fear about the future — it’s the emotional weight of living inside a crisis we didn’t create and can’t solve alone. It’s watching systems fail in slow motion. It’s carrying guilt for existing in extractive systems. It’s feeling responsible and powerless at the same time.
This session explores what it’s like to care deeply in the face of systemic harm.
We’ll talk about the quiet guilt, the anger at political inaction, the exhaustion of individual responsibility narratives, and the helplessness that can come from knowing too much while having too little control.
This isn’t a space for policy debates or solutions. It’s a space to name the emotional reality of living through a climate crisis shaped by systems far bigger than any one person.
This space is for you if:
- You feel guilty no matter what choices you make
- You feel overwhelmed by the scale of the climate crisis
- You’re tired of being told individual actions are enough
- You feel anger or grief toward political and economic systems
- You care deeply but often feel powerless
You don’t need to be an activist or expert to belong here. If you’ve ever felt the tension between caring and feeling small inside something massive, this space is for you.
Bring a friend or loved one, and let’s hold space for what’s hard to carry alone.
Who Am I?
Hi, I’m Jesse, a communications and advocacy professional passionate about building a safer, more just world. Originally from Austin and now living in Italy, I believe life is measured by the quality of our connections, and I’m excited to use this space to help people build community through openness and shared stories.
How Does it Work?
This is an open, guided discussion led by your Keeper, Jesse. Each participant will have the opportunity to listen to and share experiences on anxiety, well-being, emotions, and whatever else comes up during the session.
When and How Do We Meet?
We meet digitally to make participation easy for those with demanding schedules. Cameras are optional, and you’re welcome to join from wherever you are, even between shifts. We only ask that you find a private place to join or use headphones to help maintain the security of everyone present.
