A session for exploring the values that drive us and how they connect to our political decisions.

Politics can feel loud, polarized, and overwhelming. It’s easy to get pulled in different directions by headlines, social media, and the expectations of the people around us.
But underneath every political belief is something deeper: values.

In this session, we’ll step back from political labels and explore the principles that guide how we see the world—things like fairness, freedom, safety, dignity, community, and responsibility. Where do these values come from? Which ones matter most to us? And how might our political choices look different if they were guided first and foremost by those values?

This isn’t a debate about policies or parties. It’s a reflective conversation about what we believe in, why it matters, and how our values shape the way we show up in the world.

This space is for you if:

  • You want to better understand the values behind your political beliefs
  • You sometimes feel pulled between different viewpoints or priorities
  • You’re curious about how others think about justice, freedom, and responsibility
  • You want to engage with politics in a way that feels more grounded and intentional

Together, we’ll explore what it means to build a political compass rooted in personal values.

Who Am I?
Hi, I’m Jesse, a communications and advocacy professional passionate about building a safer, more just world. Originally from Austin and now living in Italy, I believe life is measured by the quality of our connections, and I’m excited to use this space to help people build community through openness and shared stories.

How Does it Work?
This is an open, guided discussion led by your Keeper, Jesse. Each participant will have the opportunity to listen to and share experiences on anxiety, well-being, emotions, and whatever else comes up during the session.

When and How Do We Meet?
We meet digitally to make participation easy for those with demanding schedules. Cameras are optional, and you’re welcome to join from wherever you are, even between shifts. We only ask that you find a private place to join or use headphones to help maintain the security of everyone present.
