Mingle Meetup - February!
Details
Please come to our second Mingle Meetup ... this time at the Sleder's Family Tavern in Traverse City!
Twenty-five folks attended our first event in January, maxing out our capacity. We're now moving the event to the back room of Sleder's, which has much more room. Reserve your spot now!
Our goals for the group:
- To build community, providing a venue for dialogue on national, state, and local issues.
- To be civil in our discussions. Let’s all tone it down a notch.
- To explore what we have in common more than what separates us.

Remember ... we invite folks with all views -- right, left, and in between -- and all ages.
Each month's meeting will include discussion of:
- A Mingle topic. Such as, what are our shared goals as citizens? What are the best ways to disagree respectively? These topics help us all improve out ability to discuss issues productively.
- Current-events topics: Mike will provide three or so topics from the news. He wants your help in selecting these, so please pass along your suggestions! Again, a topic can be national, state, or local in scope.
- What’s on your mind? We’ll then close each evening by asking you to share what’s most on your mind about current politics and why.
We will let you know before each meeting what the discussion questions will be.
Please RSVP so we have an accurate headcount. That way, Sleder's staff can be prepared. The food and service are excellent. Sleder's, by the way, is Michigan's oldest, continuously-operated restaurant, There's a lot of history there! (Come kiss the moose!)
Hope to see you there!
