Our May Mingle Meetup is now set for 6 p.m. Wednesday, May 13 ... again at Minerva's Restaurant and Bar in the Park Place Hotel in Traverse City.

Our topic will be:

Artificial Intelligence: How It's Impacting You and Your Politics

We enjoyed an excellent presentation at our April meeting on the proposed hotel tax for Grand Traverse County, and lots of spirited discussion followed. We had twenty in attendance, so an excellent turnout.

There will be more of the same in May!

Reserve your spot now!

Each week, our goals for the group:

  1. To build community, providing a venue for dialogue on national, state, and local issues.
  2. To be civil in our discussions. Let’s all tone it down a notch.
  3. To explore what we have in common more than what separates us.

Remember ... we invite folks with all views -- right, left, and in between -- and all ages.

Please RSVP so we have an accurate headcount. That way, the Minerva's staff can be prepared. The food and service are excellent. Parking is plentiful in the Park Place lot and free.

By the way, the Park Place Hotel has a long history in Traverse City. It traces its origins to the Campbell House, a three-story wooden-bracketed Italianate structure built in 1873 by proprietor Henry D. Campbell.

Hope to see you there!
