Real-Time Analytics with Apache Druid

Details

Real-Time Analytics: the Tapcart Story

This talk details the implementation journey of migrating from a streaming ETL architecture to using Polaris, a fully managed DaaS for Apache Druid created by Imply. The talk will review the challenges of Tapcart's use of ETL pipelines for real-time user facing analytics as well as why we decided to switch to a different architecture to meet our product needs.

We will also explain the selection of Apache Druid as the database to power our product and why we chose to use a fully managed service instead of deploying clusters internally. Finally, we will cover our initial testing results from running Druid in production for the past two months.

Apache Druid Overview and Real-Time Ingestion

Imply's Senior Developer Advocate Sergio Ferragut will talk about Apache Druid use cases and do a deep dive into how real-time ingestion works. He'll show how Apache Druid is capable of ingesting millions of events per second while serving immediate analytic queries on this data.
