Ever have something completely fall apart... only to realize six months later it was probably supposed to?

Write a song about someone who absolutely did not deserve a song? 😂

Start creating something, abandon it halfway through, come back three months later and think, wait...this is actually kind of good?

Yeah. Us too.

As summer starts winding down and we make our way toward fall, we're leaning into a new theme: Falling Into Place. 🍂

Welcome back to SoCal Creatives Collective—a place where we trade perfection for presence.

This isn't about having it all figured out. It's a space to practice, experiment, learn, listen, laugh, encourage one another, and give creativity somewhere to land.

And this time, we're sprinkling comedy throughout the afternoon—because sometimes processing life's journey requires a poem...and sometimes it requires laughing at how ridiculous the journey actually is.

There is absolutely no pressure to perform.

Come share something. Come practice something unfinished. Come support someone stepping up for the first time. Come meet other creative humans. Or grab a drink, find a seat, and simply take it all in.
Some of the most important people in the room are the ones cheering everyone else on.

Here's the plan:
2:00–2:15 PM | Mix & Mingle ☕
Grab a drink, meet someone new, and settle in.

2:15–3:00 PM | Open Mic 🎙
Music, poetry, spoken word, storytelling, comedy, and whatever else finds its way to the mic.

3:00–3:15 PM | Creative + Comedy Break 😂
Expect something a little unexpected. Audience participation may or may not be involved. 👀

3:15–3:45 PM | Open Mic 🎙
Back to the mic for another round of sharing.

3:45–4:00 PM | Musical Performance + Closing 🍂
A few laughs and a little reflection on what's falling away, what's coming together, and what's still somewhere in the middle.

Want to perform?
We'll have a limited number of open mic spots, with approximately five minutes for each person. Bring a song, poem, story, comedy bit, spoken word piece—or something you're still figuring out.

As this community grows, we'd love a few helping hands. We're looking for volunteers to help with:
