Twenty-Nine Years of Koroneourg Faire with Baron Henirich von Laufer Presented by the Baron Himself, Chuck Spitler
For 29 years Chuck Spitler has been the Baron. Played him as an actor? Maybe at first, but after a generation or two of children have grown up spending 6 weekend of summer with this Uncle by choice and are now bringing their children to see the Faire, be in jousts for the Baron’s entertainment, and just EXPERIENCE it the Baron in many ways is the Reality. This is not like Southern Renaissance Faire where the Queen is an actress taking a role. I have seen the owners of this Faire wisely taking council with the Baron on many things from promotion of it to the activities being offered there who should be in them. The buildings are real and stood all year round creating a feeling of traveling through Time to be there. In August of 2025, dark news came that the Faire was to be closed down and the Land taken away by the Riverside Parks and Recreation Department . Is there a way this Faire could be brought back to Life? Perhaps. Chuck is in the process of writing a book about Kroberg –its history and how to Build something like this wherever you are. That will keep it Alive for those who come after. The feeling of belonging and Community will strengthen the lives of all who Lived it whether as children growing up there or as adults showing those kids what Family by Choice can mean. 7 pm All Hallows Eve Ritual led by High Priestess Lilith Bring something you want to let go of-a symbol or written note. It will be cleansed in the cauldron's flame.
This is the time in the year when the veil between our world and the spirit world is the thinnest, and we can concentrate on contacting our loved ones who have passed away, and make Magick happen in our lives!
8pm-11 pm Halloween Party, If you want to present anything perhaps relating to the costume (or body paint} you choose to wear, do let us know. We may have a showing of Rocky Horror picture show if the group desires.
