Were you inspired by the multi-generational Line Marriage from MOON IS A HARSH MISTRESS, warmed by the Nest in STRANGER IN A STRANGE LAND, fascinated by the group marriage and other relationship possibilities presented in Time Enough for Love through To Sail Beyond the Sunset? Robert Heinlein , Spider Robinson, Anne McCaffrey, Marion Zimmer Bradley and many other SF and Fantasy authors have all written books with polyamory material in them. We’ll share how these stories have affected the lives of their readers as well as our own experiences in real triads, open committed relationships group marriages, group houses, etc. We’ll also answer your questions and help you figure out which of these alternatives may help you live your dream!

Terry Brussel-Rogers wrote Fifty Years of Polyamory in America: A Guided Tour of a Growing Movement (Link to buy the book) with Glen W. Olson, her best friend since high school—now a published Science Fiction writer. (link to Glen’s author page). She founded Live the Dream in 1987, the oldest continuing Nest of the real life Church of All Worlds founded in 1962 by Oberon Zell (who is giving our July 19, 2026 meeting) inspired by the fictional one in Heinlein’s Stranger in Strange Land. Her husband Craig has helped facilitate Live the Dream since moving in with her in August of 2017. Elain Anderson and Jim Sloan are also part of their Nest/Intimate network joining them in person for this event. Other members of their Nest will join them on Zoom and in person. All will be happy to answer your questions about Polyamory as a lifestyle and their own experiences with it.
