What we’re about

Are you queer, trans, or gender non-conforming (LGBTQIA2SNB+)? Do you want to explore and discuss faith, spirituality, and religion?

We are open to and welcome anyone who identifies as queer, trans, gender non-conforming (GNC) or is questioning their sexuality or gender identity. We are focused on the discussion of faith, spirituality, and religion. We acknowledge that for many queer, trans, and GNC folks religion has been a tool for and site of harm, pain, and trauma. Our goal is to provide a space for queer, trans, and GNC people to share their experiences with faith, spirituality, and religion. We strive to create an environment that fosters healing and transformative justice. We encourage exploration of the self, the other, and the divine.

Currently, this group will host discussions online. You are welcome to join online from anywhere in the world! Once membership grows, we hope to organize in-person events in San Diego and Orange County.

We welcome people of all orientations to faith, spirituality, and religion (FSR). We recognize that all people are oriented towards FSR regardless of belief or affiliation. Atheists, agnostic, undecided, humanist, spiritual but not religious folks are welcome as well as those of less well-known religions are encouraged to join.

We also recognize that FSR like all identities are intersectional. Our other identities such as sexuality, gender, race, class, native language, ability, age, country of origin, and many more affect how we understand not only our own FSR but also how we think of other people. We encourage an intersectional and multi-dimensional understanding of FSR and identity.
