For this meetup we'll be climbing in the Century Lake Dam area. We'll get to know each other on the hike in, climb, and then maybe get some nachos at Sharky's after. Here's the weather forecast. You'll want to bring protection from the elements as well as water and snacks. Must be 18+.
Meeting location: Meet at the large dirt pullout just north of the intersection of Mulholland Highway & Las Virgenes Road, not the parking lot.

--- BEGINNERS ---
You must be trained to belay prior to the meetup. If you can belay, then you'll also need shoes and a harness. You might be able to borrow a harness at the meetup. You'll most likely need to buy shoes.
--- CLIMBING ---
The dam area has sport and TR routes 5.8 - 5.13, including a few in a cave. We'll be mostly climbing in the 5.8 - 5.10 range, with an option for harder routes as desired.
--- PARKING & APPROACH ---
If you miss us... park in the parking lot ($) and then follow this map about 1.5 miles to meet us at the Dam area. Make several stops along the way to turn around and memorize how to hike out so you won't get lost.

--- MEETUP LEADERS NEEDED ---
We need more climbers to lead meetups! Must be safe and like people. The idea is you pick a day/time and a crag or gym and then invite people to meet you climb with you. You're not guiding anyone. Attendees must be self-sufficient and be responsible for their own safety. Can restrict attendance based on things like gear, experience, skills (e.g. must be able to lead 5.9, must have a rope, must bring a bouldering pad, ect). Message me to learn more.
