Hangar 18 Riverside Climbing Meetup

Looking for belay partners or just cool people to climb with? Join us at Hangar 18 Riverside for a relaxed, social session—perfect for first-timers through seasoned crushers.

What to expect

• Casual warm-ups, quick partner matching, and mixed groups for bouldering or top-rope
• Plenty of beta sharing
• Friendly, inclusive vibes—come solo or bring a friend

Important notes

• Top-rope: You must be belay-certified by Hangar 18 to belay/top-rope. If you already know how to belay, arrive ~15 minutes early to ask staff about a belay check.
• Bouldering: No certification needed—great for beginners!
• Costs & gear: Standard day pass and any rentals are paid to the gym. Bring a harness/belay device if you have one; rentals available.

Meet-up spot
We’ll gather at the lounge at the top of the stairs in the bouldering section—look for the “Meetup” sign. We’ll do intros and partner matching right at the start.
Code of climb
Be kind, communicate clearly, double-check knots/devices, and keep it fun and supportive.
