***If you don't answer the RSVP questions, I can't let you into the event. Please answer honestly as it's for group safety. If meetup is showing the questions as blank, feel free to shoot me direct message with your answers or put it in the comments section. Thank you!***

Meet by the entrance gate (GPS coordinates below) at 8:30am and hike in together. We'll hit up stumbling blocks/mt gorgeous area so we can get a good mix of grades. First climb of the new year!

General note: this isn't a guided climbing trip and I am not a professional rock guide looking to put up top rope routes for a group. Lets get some folks together to all put up routes, swap lead belays, clean routes, have fun, enjoy the sun, and be safe while at the crag. Know your systems. Be confident at lead belaying. Be confident at lead climbing outdoors. To ensure a good mix of climbers who are able to put up/clean routes and complete outdoors beginners, I've enabled a wait list and will add people into the event based on keeping the overall experience level (read: safety) balanced.

Climbing crew size total of 8: I like to keep my trips on the smaller side to make sure folks can climb all they want and we're not bombarding crags to keep the ethics of it all cool.

REQUIRED GEAR: all climbers are required to bring their own personal climbing equipment (shoes, harness, chalk, helmet, PAS, belay device + locking carabiner, bonus points for mountain project with photos downloaded or guide book). Please also take all your personal crag day related items (food, water, clothing layers, wagbag, sunscreen, headlamp...etc)

REQUIRED SKILL/RSVP QUESTIONS: please answer the 4 RSVP questions honestly. These questions are designed to assess overall climbing group safety :)

The approach hike: car to climb is about 40 ish minutes. Requires a ~VB/V0-? traverse over a small lake to get to the actual climbing area.

GPS coordinates to the street parking: 34.10350, -118.71366 (type in "Grasslands Trail Head" on google maps - also comes up). Park according to the posted signage - they do ticket this street if you're parked incorrectly.
