ONLINE: Science Saturdays: Influential Scientists (part 7)

Details

This is "Science Saturday" - a Saturday afternoon meeting for Socrates Cafe and Orlando Stoics. It's online. We meet every 2 weeks.

This will be the finale in our series on influential scientists -- their lives and discoveries. As Wikipedia points out: “Science has no single origin. Rather, systematic methods emerged gradually over the course of tens of thousands of years.” Recently, we covered Buckminster Fuller and Freeman Dyson. Now we will cover the following people. If you have time in advance, use the reading materials below.

08-26 Richard Feynman (Physics)
09-09 Watson & Crick (Genetics)
09-23 Jane Goodall (Primatology)
10-07 Fritjof Capra (various fields)
10-21 Rachel Carson (Biologist)
11-04 Werner Heisenberg (Physics)
11-18 Albert Einstein (various fields)

Hope you can join us for Science Saturday. Our meeting starts with an introduction or a dialogue, and then proceeds to an open discussion. You don't need to read any materials in advance.
