Come along for a fantastically varied walk through the Surrey countryside. Featuring woodland ascents and descents, sunken paths, sheep meadows, railway bridges, 2 pretty villages and views of the rolling hillside.
Regulars and newbies all will be made to feel very welcome in this chatty, friendly walking group.
The walk has more ascents and descents than most of my previous walks so may be more challenging, though certainly manageable if you're a regular countryside walker.
I have chosen a quieter car park to meet as Shere will be very busy in this lovely weather.
We'll take a midway break to enjoy the company and to see us through the second half of the walk. I usually bring some homemade snacks to share on our break. There are facilities to use at Shere if needed.
Meeting at the free Hurtwood car park 7 (Shere Heath) approximate postcode GU5 9DG/ GU5 9QL, or, better still, I highly recommend the What3Words app for a more accurate pinpoint, W3W tone.froth.open, for prompt 10am start.
Please wear suitable clothing and footwear for countryside, hills and changeable weather, plus bring sunlotion.
You'll need to bring sufficient water for hydration and/or flask of hot drink, with snacks if your prefer to bring your own.
We'll be expecting to finish the walk at around 1pm.
Attendees are responsible for their own safety at all times.
Please pay in advance by PayPal, to reserve your place. As refunds cannot be given (unless in the unlikely the event in cancelled) a credit will be given against a future walk only if you let me know of your change of plans before the RSVP cut off 9pm the day before the walk.
No dogs please
