Remember when school gave us an easy way to meet people?
Friendships happened so naturally. But as adults, that structure disappears.
We're surrounded by people but can go days without actually talking to anyone.
Most of us don't need help socializing. We just need a reason to start.
And that's what Head Out Toronto is.
Head Out Toronto is a group for people in their 30s and 40s+ who want to get out more, meet new people, and actually enjoy doing it.
We create simple, structured social events that make it easy to connect with others, without any pressure or overthinking.
Some events are built around conversation, and some around playing, moving, or being outside.
They make it easy to walk in and feel like you belong.
Most people come on their own. But coming with a friend works too.
Never any icebreakers or unwanted spotlights.
Come alone or with friends.

In Play Social Softball: Rec Games
Coronation Park, 43°38'01.8"N 79°24'24.1"W, Toronto, ON, CABe part of a team for the day!
The Rec Games are for adults who know the basics of softball and want to enjoy recreational play in a relaxed, welcoming atmosphere. Whether you register on your own or with a few friends, you'll be placed on a balanced team for the day.
You can register on your own or with up to three friends. Larger groups are welcome but will be split across multiple teams to help create a social, welcoming atmosphere.
The focus is on having fun, getting active, and meeting new people while enjoying a full day at the park. There are no tryouts, no drafts, and no pressure. Just recreational softball with great people.
What to expect:
- Minimum 2 rec games (50 minutes each)
- Balanced teams
- 3-pitch format
- BBQ lunch
- Music and shaded areas
- Team and schedule set in advance

In Play Social Softball: Starter Series

The Starter Series is designed specifically for beginners. The focus is on having fun, getting active, and playing softball in a relaxed, welcoming environment.
We'll teach you the basics before getting you into a beginner-friendly game where everyone is learning together. There are no tryouts, no pressure, and no expectations. Just a fun afternoon outdoors with great people.
We use softer balls and optional batting tees when needed, making it easier to get started and build confidence.
What to expect:
- 90-minute beginner-friendly tutorial
- 1 relaxed, beginner friendly game
- Softer balls + optional batting tees
- All equipment provided (bats, balls, and gloves)
- Supportive, low pressure environment

In Play: Women's Softball Game
Location not specified yetA fun, low-pressure softball game for women of all skill levels.
Open to women of all skill levels who already know the basics of softball. If you've completed our Starter Series or have played before, you're good to go!
Expect a relaxed, social-first 3-pitch game where the focus is on having fun, getting active, and meeting new people.
$10 to play, or FREE for anyone registered in the In Play Starter Series or Rec Games.
