For this Saturday night, yours truly thought we'd take a bit of a different tack. A (Bar) "Hop" with a "twist" as it were 🙂.

Now our "party-going faithful" have been downtown on numerous occasions (most recently for our Scavenger Hunt along Main street). And with all the places we've been ,,,,you'd think we'd seen it all. But Houston still has a lot of unsung (bar) heroes out there. So for this Saturday night, I thought we'd recognize at least one such hero as a part of our "hop" along Main street. What's the plan ?? Well ,,,Stan 😉😉 -

From 8 til 10ish - We'll first meet up at Angel Share - a great place for new people to get acquainted with regulars and unwind after a busy week. Then ,,,,

From 10ish til 11ish - for a "twist" we'll head over to one of Main street's newer bars. One that we haven't officially frequented as a group ,,,,Sonderbar Internationale. For those unfamiliar ,,,the self-description as "a retro-futuristic cocktail haven" fits the bill ( https://sonderbar.us/ ). Then ,,,,

From 11ish til ??? - we'll make game time decisions as we head on to some of our other favorite spots in the area.

So a few weeks ago we "bid summer adieu" with our Ice Ice Baby event at Kirby Ice House. Now that Fall is officially upon us ,,,,, up next ,,,,,OKTOBERFEST !!! Now as our "regular readers" know ,,,,we celebrate Oktoberfest every year at Saint Arnold's Brewery as one of our Saturday night events. And it's coming up this Saturday, Oct. 4th. So what to do on the Wednesday before ,,,,hmmmmm. Well, we haven't been to Karbach since last October, and a midweek hang at the brewery sounds like a good way to prepare ourselves for Saturday night. So let's PRE-GAME Oktoberfest THIS WEDNESDAY AT KARBACH BREWING COMPANY !!!!

For those that are new, when it comes to brewing, this craft brewery's motto is "CRAFTED FOR FUN" !! And they live up to their name with a variety of uniquely crafted IPAs and Lagers - including Love Street, Rodeo Clown, Hopadillo and ,,,,my personal favorite ,,,,, Crawford Bock 🍻😍😋😎.

In addition, they also have a kitchen that "won't quit" - with a menu that includes such diverse offerings as Korean Fried Chicken, Ahi Tuna Tacos and Prosciutto & Brie Sandwiches, as well as a large selection of salads, burgers and pizzas.

So whether you've been before or this is your first time, COME ON OUT AND PRE-GAME OKTOBERFEST THIS WEDNESDAY, grab some drinks and a bite to eat and enjoy a chance to connect with other people during the week !

Come join us to celebrate Oktoberfest in the beer garden of Texas' oldest craft brewery.

The festivities include live music, contests, plenty to eat from Saint Arnold's full kitchen and of course seasonal Oktoberfest beer that can be purchased in commemorative Oktoberfest mugs. And since the brewery closes at 11 PM ,,,,,

After enjoying what Saint Arnold dubs Texas' "Best 'Fest", we'll continue the celebration downtown starting out at Angel Share on Congress.
