Social Speed "Puzzle Chess" Tournament!

Join us for a fun afternoon with jigsaw puzzling friends, made even better with tasty drinks and yummy food!

Speed "Puzzle Chess" Tournament - $5 to enter
How to play: Two players will first work collaboratively to turn all pieces face-up and complete the border of a 100pc puzzle. Then, using a chess timer set to 10 minutes for each player, the two players will alternate connecting one piece at a time to the border, and tapping the timer as soon as your piece is placed. Your timer counts down while you work on placing your piece.

How to win: You win if you have more time left on your timer when the puzzle is completed, OR if your opponent runs out of time first.

No experience necessary, it's all for funsies! :)

Tournament Setup: Single-elimination. $5 to enter. Top 3 places will win eternal glory and a brand new puzzle. The tournament will begin at 1:30pm, please arrive at least 20 minutes early to check-in.

Casual Puzzling Corner - free to play!
We will have extra puzzles on-hand and space for casual puzzling if that is more your speed, or after you are eliminated. :) No check-in or fee necessary for casual puzzling, just walk right in!

Puzzle Swap - free to swap!
Bring your own gently used yet greatly loved puzzles and add to the swap table, then find some new favourites to take home.

About the venue
Located on Historic Murphy Avenue in downtown Sunnyvale, CA, Off The Rails Brewing Co., a neighborhood Brewery & Restaurant, proudly crafts its beers on site and prepares food in an open kitchen using the best ingredients in a family-friendly atmosphere.
