Welcome to Darrenwood Social Tennis! 🎾
Looking for a fun, active, and pressure-free way to play tennis? Whether you’ve never picked up a racquet, just started coaching, or haven't hit a ball in years, this session is made for you.
We started this group specifically to get away from club gatekeeping and elitism—here, everyone is welcomed by name, and missed shots are just part of the fun.
What to Expect:

• Total Beginners Welcome: If it's your first time or you're nervous, we'll take you to an open court for the first 15–20 minutes to hit easy balls over the net at your own pace before mixing into social games.
• No Gear Required: Don't have a racquet? No problem at all—we bring spare racquets and balls for anyone to use. Just wear flat sneakers/tennis shoes and comfortable sports clothes.
• The Vibe: Casual rallies, fun doubles rotations, good laughs, and getting fit outdoors.

Headcount & RSVPs:

• Note on Attendee Numbers: Most of our regular players confirm weekly via our WhatsApp group poll, so don't be discouraged if the RSVP count looks quiet here—we regularly have 4–6+ players on court!
• We reserve spots specifically for newcomers joining via Meetup.

Event Details:

• Club Fee: R50 per person (visitor/court lights fee paid directly to the club).
• Location: Darrenwood Tennis Club (Republic Road, Randburg).
• Time: Wednesday @ 17:00.
