Social Threads is a grassroots initiative in Melbourne helping people make friends, feel connected, and build meaningful connections.
We run free, practical workshops that give you simple skills to spark conversation, meet new people, and create genuine human connection.
We also host open discussions where we explore ways to feel more connected to our communities and the people around us. Everyone’s perspective matters - there’s no right or wrong, just honest conversations and shared ideas.
Whether you’re a student, professional, senior, or new arrival, everyone is welcome. Come as you are – you’ll be warmly welcomed.
Many people have left the chats with new friends, simple tips to connect with others, and ideas to feel more at home in their community.
