About us
Welcome to Social Fun!
For over 15 years, we’ve been one of the largest and most active Meetup groups in New England, bringing together both locals and newcomers. Whether you're looking to meet new people, explore the area, or just have a good time, this group is here to help. Membership is free, but donations are always appreciated since running the group does come with costs.
We’re always looking for great people and their ideas to keep us going. If you have something in mind for an event, let’s talk!
Quick heads-up:
We have no control over DMs sent through Meetup. While we strongly discourage unsolicited business or romantic messages, we can’t prevent them. If a member of this group sends you anything unwanted, feel free to reach out. Meetup is meant to build in-person connections, and we appreciate everybody helping to keep it respectful.

⚡ Fun Dodgeball Rules ⚡
1️⃣ Have Fun!
🎉 This is a casual, friendly event, so bring the energy and enjoy the game! Let’s keep it light and fun!
2️⃣ Headshots Don’t Count!
❌ Hits above the neck? Not an elimination! We’re all about the action below the neck — so aim low and have fun!
3️⃣ Catching is Cool!
👐 Catches only count if you grab the ball before it touches the ground, wall, or hits another player. Timing is EVERYTHING! ⏱️
4️⃣ Blocking – Be Careful!
⚠️ Using the ball to block? If it falls from your hands or hits your fingers, you’re OUT! Be strategic!
5️⃣ Stay Within the Boundaries!
🚫 Step out of bounds, and you’re disqualified. Stay inside the lines to stay in the game! Keep your footing!
7️⃣ Opening Rush – It’s a Race!
🏃♂️ At the start, grab the balls only on your right side! To throw, the ball must clear the designated cone first — no shortcuts!
8️⃣ Quick Throws, Fast Moves!
⏰ You’ve got 10-15 seconds to throw the ball and keep the action moving — no time to waste!
9️⃣ Rule Adjustments
🔄 Rules may be adjusted on the fly for an even better experience! Let’s keep it fair and fun for everyone.
⚡ Let the Games Begin! ⚡

Easy Oceanside Hike & or Drinks & or Food, Rye NH.
Odiorne Point State Park, Ocean Blvd, Rye, NH, USEasy Oceanside Hike & or Drinks & or Food, Odiorne State Park, Rye NH. Sunday, April 26th at 1pm. This is a Multi Group event, All RSVP can't be seen.
Join Steve Ob1 and friends for an easy 2 to 3 mile hike along the sea and around the Odiorne Peninsula state park. This a historic site along the ocean. Before the pandemic, there were no fee to enter this state parks, and the park was not manned or patrolled. So you could bring your dog. But now, with more people get out. The park might have it's fees and rules being inforced. This hike is not a race. We will be traveling at conversation speed. So, if you are not talking to someone? We are moving too fast. We will be making a lot of stops, to see the ships and lighthouses, and to smell the roses and enjoy the scenery and history along the trails. These are flat trails, rocky beachs and it can be wet or icy.
We will meet at 1pm just left of the gate house as you enter. Not the main paved parking lot by the Seacoast Science Center. Look for a white van with a Meetup sign.
DOG OWNERS please be aware. Dogs are welcome on my hikes, as usual. But there is unsually no one at the gate to enforce those rules or charging the entrance fee at this time of the year. Dogs are not allowed at any N.H. State Parks. This is one reason I host this event at this time of the year. So, if people with dogs still want to join us? They can park outside the park and walk up to the stone beach over to the park walkway. You are still responsible to control and clean up after your dogs. If there is someone at the gate. Just park out side the park at the parking area just before or after the park enterance on rt. 1a. But let me know you are there by text or call. We will start our hike heading in that direction. Steve Ob1 603-491-1962
& or Join us for drinks & or food after. We are looking for a difference spot to have some drinks & or food. But, we may just go a few miles away to the 99 on route 1. Text to find out where we are.
Carpooling from Nashua, Manchester NH.

State Park Info:
At Odiorne Point State Park picnickers can enjoy sweeping views of the ocean and rocky shore, and explorers can uncover evidence of past military occupation and history of the area. An extensive network of trails wind through the dense vegetation and traverse the park. The Seacoast Science Center, which is located in the park, has exhibits relating to the natural and human history of Odiorne and the seacoast area (separate fee).
