Welcome to the all-new Social in Sussex Meetup! Like our sister group Coastal Socials, we love Southern Delaware! Our focus in this group is to create and maintain a community of passionate locals dedicated to making a tangible difference right here in Sussex County, Delaware.
If you are looking for a fun, social, and meaningful way to give back to your community, you have found the right group. We bridge the gap between people who want to help and the local non-profits, charities, and community organizations that need our support.
What We Do:
We offer a mix of hands-on volunteering and social fundraising events. We gather to support the incredible work already happening in our coastal and inland towns.
- Social Connections: Every event is an opportunity to meet like-minded neighbors, make new friends, and network with community leaders.
- Volunteer Days: We roll up our sleeves for beach cleanups, food pantry distribution, community builds, and animal shelter support.
- Fundraisers & Galas: We attend local charity galas, benefit concerts, 5Ks and other events to help raise crucial funds for local causes.
Who Should Join:
Everyone! Whether you are a lifelong Sussex County resident, a recent retiree to the area, or someone looking to expand your social circle while doing good, you are welcome here. We welcome all ages, skill levels, and backgrounds. No prior volunteering experience or fundraising is required—just a positive attitude and a desire to strengthen our community!

2. RSVP responsibly so our hosts can get accurate headcounts for events.
3. Bring a positive attitude and be ready to meet some incredible people!

Move for the Cure Zumba Dance Party @ Seacrets
Seacrets, 117 49th Street, Ocean City, MD, USGet ready for an evening packed with music, movement, prizes, and an incredible crowd - all for a great cause! Join us for the 4th Annual Move for the Cure Zumbathon at Seacrets on October 14th! There is a $30 registration fee that includes the Zumbathon plus a 50/50 raffle, silent auction, raffle prizes, and a beer, wine or soda afterward. All proceeds go to the local organization, Women Supporting Women.

The event is hosted in conjunction with the licensed Zumba instructors from Pure Family Fitness, but you do not need to be a member to participate. Whether you're a seasoned Zumba pro or a first timer, get your sneakers on and energy up - let's move for a great cause!

5:00 pm Meet Kate at the door. We will walk in together at 5:15. If you arrive after that, contact Kate for location.5:45 pm Zumba party!
8:00 pm Enjoy a drink and see if you won any of the auction items!

VIP ticket holders enjoy early entry at 5:00 pm, reserved seating, a VIP cocktail hour, and a swag bag for $125. General admission ticket holders may enter at 6:00 pm for $75.
