Join us on Sunday, September 20, 2026 for a fun fall day trip from NYC to historic Sleepy Hollow, New York! 👻🎃🍁
We’ll meet in Midtown Manhattan, walk together to Grand Central Terminal, take the scenic Metro-North Hudson Line directly to Philipse Manor, and then walk into downtown Sleepy Hollow for the Sleepy Hollow Street Fair!
The Street Fair is officially scheduled for 10:00 AM–5:00 PM on Beekman Avenue, with shopping, food, vendors, and community festivities throughout the heart of Sleepy Hollow. (Sleepy Hollow)

## 🚆 OPTION 1 — TAKE METRO-NORTH WITH US FROM NYC!

⏰ Meet between 10:45 AM and 11:00 AM
Please try to arrive no later than 11:00 AM!
We’ll give everyone a few minutes to meet each other, say hello, and get organized before walking together to Grand Central Terminal.
We plan to begin walking toward Grand Central at approximately 11:00–11:05 AM, so please do not arrive late. Our train leaves at 11:25 AM and we want enough time to find the track and board comfortably.

## 🚶 WALKING TO GRAND CENTRAL

From McDonald’s at 18 E 42nd Street, we’ll walk east along 42nd Street toward Park Avenue.
Grand Central Terminal is located at:

🚶 Walking time: approximately 5–10 minutes
Once inside Grand Central, we’ll follow the signs for Metro-North Railroad and locate our Hudson Line train.

Departure from Grand Central: 11:25 AM
Arrival at Philipse Manor: approximately 12:21 PM
The current MTA weekend Hudson Line timetable lists Train 8723 departing Grand Central at 11:25 AM and stopping at Philipse Manor at approximately 12:21 PM.
That makes the train ride approximately:

### ⏱️ 56 minutes

Part of the Hudson Line runs alongside the Hudson River, so we should get some beautiful river views along the way! 🌊🚆🍂
Please be at McDonald’s between 10:45 and 11:00 AM. We do not want anyone running through Grand Central trying to catch the train at the last minute!

Everyone is responsible for purchasing their own Metro-North ticket.
In the MTA TrainTime app, purchase:

Please check the TrainTime app again on the morning of the meetup for any last-minute track changes, delays, or service adjustments.

## 🚗 OPTION 2 — MEET US DIRECTLY AT PHILIPSE MANOR!

If you’re driving, already in Westchester, or traveling separately, you do not have to come into Manhattan.
You can simply meet us directly at:

Our train is scheduled to arrive at approximately 12:21 PM, so please try to be around the station when we arrive.
Once everyone is together, we’ll start walking toward the Street Fair.
The Village of Sleepy Hollow is encouraging visitors to use Metro-North because parking is limited. Both Philipse Manor and Tarrytown stations are officially listed as being within walking distance of the Street Fair. (Sleepy Hollow)

## 🚶 HOW FAR IS THE WALK FROM PHILIPSE MANOR?

This is one of the biggest improvements to our new route!
Instead of getting off at Tarrytown, we’ll get off at Philipse Manor, which puts us on the Sleepy Hollow side of the area and closer to the northern/Pocantico Street side of the fair.
From Philipse Manor Station to the Pocantico Street end of Beekman Avenue, expect approximately:

### 🚶 15–20 minutes of walking

### 📏 Roughly 0.9–1 mile

A nearby Pocantico Street location is listed at approximately a 17-minute, 0.9-mile walk from Philipse Manor Station, so about 15–20 minutes is a good estimate for our group. We’ll walk together, so nobody needs to navigate alone.
Our destination will be the Street Fair area around:

The fair stretches along Beekman Avenue between Pocantico Street and Route 9, and the entire section will be closed to vehicle traffic for the event. (Sleepy Hollow)
So once we reach Beekman Avenue, we’ll be able to walk through the fair toward the center of Sleepy Hollow.

September is the perfect time to start getting into the Halloween spirit, and where better to do it than Sleepy Hollow! 🎃👻🍂

## 🎃 RIVERTOWN PUMPKIN TRAIL

September 20 is also the opening day of the Rivertown Pumpkin Trail.
Local artists decorate large pumpkins that are displayed throughout Sleepy Hollow, Tarrytown, Irvington, Ardsley, and Dobbs Ferry from September 20 through November 1. (Sleepy Hollow)
There isn't one single meeting point for the Pumpkin Trail, so we can keep an eye out for the decorated pumpkins while we explore Sleepy Hollow.

## ⚰️ OPTIONAL SLEEPY HOLLOW EXPLORING

Depending on how everyone feels and how much time we have, we may also walk around some of the other famous areas of Sleepy Hollow.
