🍂 Welcome to Friendsgiving!
Thanksgiving usually means family, gratitude, and dodging that one relative who asks why you’re still single. 😂
This year we’re trading the turkey coma for a carb coma. Think big plates of pasta, crispy chicken, warm bread, and a table full of people who are just as nervous as you are. Nonna would be proud. 🇮🇹
Maybe you’re a regular, maybe it’s your first Meetup, maybe you’re coming solo. Either way, you belong here. ❤️
Don’t stress about small talk. Half of us will be stuck deciding between a hug, a handshake, or an awkward little wave. 👋 And if all else fails, just ask the person next to you what they’re ordering. Instant conversation.
You’re not socially awkward. You’re just saving your best conversation for the tiramisu. 😎
🍽️ What’s on the Table
We’ll be ordering à la carte from the regular menu, so everyone picks their own dish and budget. That makes this a lot easier on the wallet than a prix fixe dinner. 🙌
- 🍝 Classic pastas like penne alla vodka and their house-famous specialties
- 🍗 Chicken dishes and other Italian comfort food
- 🍕 Pizza, apps, and plenty to share
- 🍰 Desserts for anyone saving room (you should)
Not sure there’ll be a traditional turkey dinner, but honestly? Chicken parm is a valid Thanksgiving food. We’re making new traditions. 🦃➡️🍝
💰 Payment
No deposit, no prepay. You order what you want and pay for your own meal (plus tax and tip) at the end. Let’s skip the awkward money talk over the meatballs. 😉
🚨 Please RSVP Only If You’re Sure
We only have 20 seats, and the restaurant is holding every one of them for us. An empty chair means someone on the waitlist missed out.
📅 If you can’t make it, please update your RSVP or message me by Thursday, November 12 so someone else can take your spot.
🚫 No-shows will be removed from the group. If you RSVP “Attend” and don’t show up without letting me know, you’ll be removed from Socially Awkward But I’m Trying. This isn’t to be harsh. It’s to be fair to the people who showed up and the people who wanted a seat.
I know plans change, and that’s totally okay. Just tell me. A quick message is all it takes. The only thing that should disappear at Friendsgiving is the food! 🍝
📍 When You Arrive
Tell the host you’re with Steven’s Friendsgiving group. Please be on time so we can settle in and order together, and message me if you’re running late.
First Meetup? We’ve all walked into a restaurant wondering, “Is that my group, or am I about to sit down with 19 strangers?” This time, it’s both. 😂
❤️ A Little Friendsgiving Note
This dinner is about more than food. It’s about connection and being grateful for the people who make life a little brighter. Whether you know half the table or nobody at all, I hope you leave with a few new friends.
Come hungry, come happy, come nervous, come awkward. Just come ready to have a good time. 😁
Can’t wait to celebrate with you all.
Mangia!!! 🍝❤️🇮🇹🎉
