What we’re about
This is a social group for people 30+ And I’ve combined this with my singles group. Everyone is welcome if they think it's the group for them
Most events are held in and around Newcastle but anyone in surrounding areas is welcome to join and anyone is welcome to host events in another area. We also have had events in Durham and Sunderland.
There are always new people at every event and so you won't be the only new one and if you're apprehensive, just look out for the host or post a message on the comments section of the event when you will be arriving and we'll look out for you.
This is a private group so only other members are allowed to see your profile and you may restrict certain information being shown.

I know times are tough financially and I’ve removed membership fees
Three reasons why a membership fee is charged: 1) You know that all members are actively part of this group so you're more likely to see them at our events.
2) A sense of community as members contribute both financially and with their time to organise events.
3) Meetup fees which it costs to use the Meetup.com platform.
I am not going to pick up the cost of running this group myself
If you have any ideas for events anywhere in Sunderland, North/South Tyneside or Durham or anywhere in between, whether it's meals, drinks, walking,hiking, shows or if there is something that you want to do but don't want to do it alone, please message me and if you would like to host them yourself, you can become an event organizer.
Please be aware that all members are required to have a clear, recognisable photograph of themselves on their profile. This is to ensure the safety and comfort of our members and to allow everyone to recognise group members when attending events. It is also not permitted to message other members that you have not met in person first or with inappropriate messages. Failure to comply may lead to your removal from the group.
Please note: If you RSVP for an event but cannot make it, please let us know. If you fail to let us know and don’t change your RSVP then you are likely to be removed from the group.
