Fire Island is one of the most exclusive and beautiful vacation spots in the New York area. There are no cars allowed on this island of bungalows, quaint villages, fun bars, miles of uncrowded beaches and rolling sand dunes. This will be our 7th year at this amazing newly renovated upscale house that offers spectacular views of the bay, the lighthouse and is only a very short walk to the ocean! Don’t miss this awesome opportunity to spend the weekend out of the city with other fun members of The New York Social Network. Check out the location: Fire Island House.
All these activities/amenities are available You can do as much or as little as you’d like:
Days on the beach (beach chairs and umbrella’s are provided)
Biking
Relaxing
Group dinners on the outside deck
Visits to the different villages
Kayaking on the bay
Visit the Lighthouse
Plenty of relaxing time
Lunches on the beach at the house or at one of the bayside taverns
Nights on the deck or cocktails at the local taverns
Leave as late as 4pm Sunday
Do as much or as little as you would like. There are 3 rooms with 2 twin beds and 2 rooms with a single full size bed. If you do not know anyone in the group we will do our best to match you with someone like you. (although not much time will be spent in your rooms).
The house features: Virtual Tour: from previous year
2 levels with 2,000 sq. ft. of outside decking, 3 shared bedrooms, 2 single rooms, two full baths and one half bathroom, 4 houses from the bay (great for kayaking) and 100 yards to the ocean. All modern and newly renovated with large bright open air spaces. wifi internet access is available.

$385pp: Shared Room / 2 per room
You will have access to house after 12 Friday then access to rooms at 4pm.
Check out is 11am Sunday with access to house till 4pm Sunday
Included:

How do I get there?
-You can drive to Bayshore and take ferry to Fire Island
-Take Long Island Rail Road to Bayshore, 5 minute cab ride to ferry dock, then ferry to island
What to expect?
-a group of 10 mellow New York Social Network members and friends. Male/female 30’s, 40’s Couples friendly
Will I feel comfortable coming alone? Yes! most all of those coming will be coming alone. These weekends are some of the best opportunities to meet others in a fun, quality and casual setting. Everyone is connected through the group.

🚶‍♀️ Ridge to River Trail Adventure – Escape the City for a Scenic Day in New Paltz, NY!
Looking to breathe in some fresh country air and enjoy a relaxing walk with great people? Join us for a fun and easy day trip to New Paltz, NY, where you’ll explore the Ridge to River Trail—a beautiful path connecting the Wallkill River to the stunning Shawangunk Mountain Ridge (“The Gunks”). This mostly paved and gravel carriage road winds through rolling hills, vibrant farmland, and peaceful woodland along the base of the ridge. This is one of our easiest hikes!
🗓 How the Day Works
Getting There:
Take the 8:56 AM Metro-North train from Grand Central to Poughkeepsie or drive and meet us at the station.
Your guide will greet you at the station and drive the group to all activities, then return you in time for the train back (approx 5:50pm).
🚨 What to Expect
🌟 7 awesome members and friends will be joining – perfect for making new connections!
🥪 You may bring your lunch or we will stop at a local shop followed by a scenic picnic along the Hudson River.
🚶‍♂️ Walk the Ridge to River Trail – a peaceful and picturesque 6-mile roundtrip stroll.
🍎 Visit a charming local farm stand.
🍷 Finally enjoy local wine, beer or hard cider at a Red Maple Cellars , a local Vineyard
🚆 Return on the 5:50 PM train back to NYC (or earlier, depending on timing).
🌄 About the Hike
Distance: 6 miles total (roundtrip)
Difficulty: 1–2 out of 10 (mostly flat carriage road with minor inclines)
Trail Type: Out-and-back with two small loop sections
Pace: Leisurely – ideal for beginners or casual walkers
This is one of our easiest hikes, but you should be comfortable walking 6 miles over a few hours. If that sounds good to you, we’d love to have you along!
