Bring:
- A machine, preferably Linux
- A question or an idea
- Maybe a show and tell
Event Details:
- 🚉 It's curious that in the 21st century it's still fairly hard to share data. I'll show you one simple but practical example of making that easier and you can share your tips.
If you want to follow along please install F-Droid on your phone before the meeting starts. - 🪂 Put your tin foil hat on for a ride along with Marcus Holtz, as he puts your hands to the wheel and lets you foil up your own custom web browser with Floorp.
This is a guided follow along. Make the thing, use the thing. Questions answered as they come up. We all navigate to a custom web browser, each making our own choices along the way.
There is a value for value ask of most events, this month is:
Pay what we ask: $3.14 https://paypal.me/sfs303/3
Or, pay what you choose: [pwyc@sofree.us](http://mailto:pwyc@sofree.us)
[ If this your first time, show up, see if you like it, and decide our value then. No one will be turned away for lack of payment. ]
This is a hybrid event, in-person preferred.
When you register, you'll be asked whether you're planning to participate in-person or online. We need to know so we can plan seats and snacks.
We use Big Blue Button (it's like Zoom) for our online classroom:
- We also have Mattermost for sharing notes, leaving links, and messaging.
Doors and BBB open at 8:30am.
Those that get there early will take a vote for the rally track before presentations begin (to let everyone know the show is beginning and to take a seat or turn up volume):
This post will evolve with the event plan.
