Ansible AGHI online

Details
Ansible is for Automation: system administration at scale, IaC (Infrastructure as Code), and CM (Configuration Management) - configuring infrastructure to host applications or to conform to policy
Ansible, Puppet, Chef, and Salt are better than shell for CM because they're easier to write and to read
Ansible is better than Puppet and Salt because it has a gentler learning curve and it's agent-less and equally capable
I use Ansible to:
- Create virtual machines in OpenStack and Proxmox
- Add users and authorized keys
- Configure some users as administrators
- Install, configure, and start services like libvirtd, containerd, and httpd
- Perform maintenance operations like:
- Patch and reboot machines
If that sounds like fun, join me, David L. Willson, for four hours online Friday evening while we talk and play with Ansible
This will be an expert-led, hands-on class. The price is 64 USD or PWYC.
Get your things ready:
- GitLab.com account. Example: www.gitlab.com/dlwillson
- Secure shell client. Example: `ssh` from Bash or PowerShell
- Secure shell keypair. Create with `ssh-keygen`, if needed
- Secure shell keypair authorization.
