Are you interested in learning more about how LLMs and AI Assistants actually work and how to get the most out of them?
Alex Wise will deliver a half day intro here at SFS HQ.
We will build up from basics like "What is a Large Language Model?"
and "What is an AI Agent?" to context management and tool use.
Attendees may even be able to create their own rudimentary AI agent to take home and experiment with.
Participants will:
- Learn the relationship between the Agent and the LLM by emulating an agent.
- Build their own agent that they can take home with them.
- Extend the usefulness of their agent by adding context management
- Extend the usefulness of their agent by adding tools.
- Customize their agent by modifying the persona.
Bring a machine (Linux preferred) with a web browser and SSH client.

About the Speaker: Alex is a certified AWS Generative AI Developer and a Site Reliability Engineer with a decade of experience, including building LLM agents for SaaS Products and ML for robotics. He has delivered several classes in his time at SFS including Gentle Hand-On Introductions to Docker, DevOps, and OpenTelemetry.
