About us

Architecture by Diagram is a free learning group for software engineers who want to grow into architects - and architects who want to sharpen their fundamentals.

We learn visually: every session turns one concept into diagrams, animations, and live whiteboarding instead of dry theory. Topics include distributed systems design, resilience patterns (circuit breakers, bulkheads, backpressure), Java & Spring Boot internals, cloud architecture (Azure/AWS, Kubernetes, service mesh), C4 diagramming, and system design interview prep.

Who should join: working developers, tech leads, and anyone curious about how large-scale systems really work. No prerequisites - just bring questions.

What we’ll do: monthly deep-dive sessions with visual walkthroughs, real-world war stories from production systems, hands-on design exercises, and open Q&A. All materials are shared freely on our learning hub after each session.

Everything is 100% free - this group exists because the best way to learn architecture is to teach it and discuss it with peers.
