Two Interesting Applications of the Raspberry Pi with Ralph Iden
You've heard of the Raspberry Pi, may even have one or two, and know of the common applications: home automation, media player, dust magnet..." Tonight, novel and less common Raspberry Pi uses will be showcased.
Introduction To Gstreamer with Rand Graham
A brief overview of the gstreamer multimedia framework. This talk will include examples of transcoding video as well as how a video on demand server could be created.
Ruby Immutable and Callable Objects with Ryan Gerry
Ryan will review how to make a Ruby object immutable and then introduce different types of callable objects. Knowledge of these techniques can lead to clean code and are used in meta programming. There will also be a comparison of similar techniques in other languages.
