jq: A language to wrangle JSON w/ Ori Rawlings
Details
Join us for a talk about jq, a tidy programming language for transforming JSON data on the command-line.
JSON is everywhere. Don't be scared! Use jq interactively to slice and dice JSON into just the parts you care about. Use jq to pass structured data between programs in shell scripts. Turn all those YAML files into something you can query.
Ori Rawlings is a professional software engineer who's spent way too much time with JSON data. Thankfully, he's been using jq daily for the last few years.
This month's presentation will be in-person, at the Woodstock Public Library.
