What we’re about

This is an in person event for product managers, designers, and developers to talk about the art and science of creating software products. Each event, a new host designs a party to showcase how a new network or discipline thinks about product in this huge and creative city. Let's all learn from each other how to ideate, sell, design, build, modernize, and run software products in the real world.

No pitches. Just a community of product builders from every part of Austin's tech ecosystem.

The format? Networking, grown up food, a few lightning introductions for new party goers, then one or two 15-20 minute talks or panels focused on the product and business side of software.

Where? It’s a roaming party. It can be hosted at different times and places to accommodate all of this great city. Happy hours, dinners, breakfasts, lunches, go karts: there’s lots of ways to bring us together.

This group is free to everyone.

WHO IS IT

This group is a community project, powered by product leaders all over the city. We ask that you come interested in teaching or learning about product management in software, and be thoughtful about inviting people you know or admire to come contribute as well. We have a model where someone else "hosts" the product party each time by bringing their network and their expertise as a contribution to the larger community. If you know someone who can be a great teacher or role model, we encourage you them to ask them to host a party.

We're not silly: we fully anticipate that when smart people who build commercial products get together that there will be financially useful networking, selling, and recruiting going on. That's the whole point of cities after all. But we do ask that you keep those conversations on the sidelines and out of your presentations or the group here. We'd like the primary activity here to be thoughtful people bringing their knowledge to the community to make Austin an ever better and more visible place to build software.
