I would be interested in giving a talk about Titanium. I live near Madison and work

as a remote employee at Appcelerator. I could show how it can be used for creating mobile

applications for Android and iOS using JavaScript. I'd also be interested in talking about Node.js

server-side programming. Possibly tie the two together into one talk (Titanium for app & Node.js for backend)?

My proposal to HUB was to poll our members for people interested in doing a presentation (on a topic of your choice) in the area of software development. For instance we may get several web-technology related topics together for one presentation, and then possibly several mobile-development-related topics for another. As a mobile and "desktop" software guy I would be interested in talking about the challenges of porting a desktop product to a mobile device, and the different UI aspects of targeting, say, the iPhone and iPad. Or even a quick talk about the wonders of C++ templates and image processing.

So if you are willing to give a talk/presentation on something of interest to you, let me know and I'll put together a list of possible meetup topics for HUB.

We'll likely choose the 3rd or 4th Wednesday of each month, or every other month, to have these meetings. They will probably be in the CS building on campus in a reserved room. This could be a good chance to inspire CS students and bring the local tech community closer together.
