Celebrate the 4th of July at the Stars & Stripes Picnic

Kansas City’s official Independence Day celebration! Grab a bite at the food trucks, shop from local vendors, listen to live music, and enjoy the largest fireworks display in the city.
Bring a lawn chair or blanket. We will find a spot to watch the fireworks and then enjoy the festival.
Finding each other will be tricky! Current plan is to meet at the fountain across from Union Station (see detailed map in photos). Check this page the night of the event for updates and changes.
Note there is parking available on 25th and 26th streets at the top of the hill - you can reach the festival by walking down the Crown Plaza stairs (see map in photos).
