Winter Weekend in Interlochen January 16th -19th, 2026

Join fellow Solar members for our annual long Winter Weekend in Interlochen -

I have rented a 6-bedroom lodge on Bass Lake for MLK weekend. The lodge is 30 minutes from many winter recreation areas for skiing or snowshoeing, including Sleeping Bear Dunes, Vasa, Lake Ann Pathway, and Ransom Lake. There are also several wineries and cider farms nearby.

• Most of the bedrooms would be shared but everyone will have their own bed.
• The lodge has a large kitchen, a large dining table, and a kitchenette with a 2nd full size refrigerator.
• It also has 4 bathrooms, 3 of which have showers.
• It has a fireplace, a grill, and game tables (Foosball, Ping Pong, darts).

There may be a potluck on Saturday night if people want to participate and bring a dish to pass. All other meals would be on your own. The Lodge has a coffee maker and tea kettle; I will bring coffee, tea, creamer, sugar, etc.

The cost for lodging for three nights and miscellaneous supplies is $165. With the increase in PayPal/meetup fees, you will sign up for one of the spots and then either mail a check or pay via Venmo to reserve your spot. Payment is due no later than November 1st as I have a deadline for 100% refund if we don't sell all the spots; however, this trip usually fills up fast so don't wait!
