Intro to CAD w/ Onshape

Learn how to design parts in OnShape (free for educational use), a full fledge cloud CAD program. OnShape is the easiest and fastest way to begin designing complex parts and assemblies. The designs you create can then easily be 3D printed or CNC machined.

This class is a complete beginners introduction to Onshape and will walk through the basics of using the software and making your first part.

Your Instructor: Carter has been using OnShape for over 6 years and has made hundreds of designs with it. He has been teaching High School students to OnShape for robotics competitions and has taught this class multiple times before.

The Path to CNC Mastery
This class is one of three recommended prerequisites to learning how to use the CNC machines at the makerspace. Intro to CAD w/ OnShape, Intro to CAM w/ Fusion 360, and Fundamentals of Machining. Provide the background knowledge that will set you up for success when you try to learn how to operate a CNC machine!
