Machining is an essential skill that open up a world of making possibilities. Metal lathes are a versatile tools for making precise round object and cutting threads. This class will cover the essentials needed for new-comers to begin safely experimenting on Solid State Depots metal lathe:

• Safety and Machine Maintenance
• Basic Operation of the Machine
• Intro to Speeds and Feeds
• Hands-On Tool Time

Class size is limited so hopefully everyone can get some time actually operating the mill within class time. Class is free and open to the public (Solid State Depot membership is not required!).
