3D printers are awesome tools that unlock a world of making possibilities. This class is aimed at getting up and running with your first 3D prints on the makerspace's 3D printers. We'll cover the basics workflow of finding existing models, preparing them for printing using Creality Print, and skills you will need to get good results. It will be as hands-on as we can manage considering there's only enough time to actually print a handful of small models during the class.
If you've ever wanted to get started with 3D printing this class is a perfect introduction!
Class is free and open to the public!
How to prepare (optional but helpful):
- If you have a personal laptop, download and install Creality Print ahead of time.
- Browse online for a model you'd like to print. printables.com is a good site but there are many. You will be looking to download a file ending in .stl
- Look for a model that will be fast and easy to print: it's a single part, small, and not too complex geometry. Plenty of time to do fancy things on your own later
If you do not have a laptop, don't worry - there are computers available at SSD you can use for the class.
